Program Overview
The Painting program guides students in developing their voice through a balance of technical and conceptual
instruction, all the while locating their vision within the context of contemporary
art, culture and visual language. Our program teaches students to understand painting
from material and theoretical approaches through innovation with both traditional
and experimental media. Emphasizing hands-on practice, demonstrations, and critique,
the program features spacious, well-lit studios with private lockers and 24/7 access,
providing a supportive environment for creative growth and professional development.
