Apostille Process
- Some governments and agencies may require diplomas and/or transcripts to be certified with an apostille for legal use in a foreign country. The Student Records and Registrar Services Office assists students with this process by notarizing these documents and sending them off to the county, state, and federal offices.
- The apostille process can take 3-4 weeks due to the notary requirements, shipping times, and multiple steps involved. Please plan accordingly to avoid delays.
- To ensure a smooth process, please review the checklist below carefully and submit all required materials together to our office — except for the FedEx Express pre-paid shipping labels, which we will request later via email, as they may expire before they are needed.
Important Notes:
- Do not send your original diploma or transcripts; these cannot be authenticated or returned.
- ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ is not responsible for the apostille request after it is notarized by our campus and leaves our office.
- All fees must be paid by check or money order in U.S. dollars.
- If you have any questions, please email us at degree@binghamton.edu.
