Background

Paul Chiarot is a professor and chair of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at 黑料视频, State University of New York. He received the BASc, MASc and PhD degrees in mechanical engineering from the University of Toronto and was a postdoctoral research associate at the University of Rochester. 

Chiarot directs the Microfluidics and Multiphase Flow Laboratory, whose research focuses on advanced manufacturing using electrospray deposition/printing, microelectronics packaging, microfluidics, synthetic cells/vesicles and the fluid mechanics of the brain. 

Along with his collaborators, his research has been supported by the NSF, ACS, NIH, SRC and industry. 

Chiarot is the recipient of the NSF CAREER Award and the SUNY Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Scholarship and Creative Activities.
